Curral del Rey
Em 1701 o bandeirante João Leite da Silva Ortíz fundou a cidade Curral del Rey. O nome Curral del Rey nasceu por causa de um curral onde estava o gado que iria pagar as taxas ao rei.
Nessa época a utilização da mão-de-obra dos escravos era muito grande. Logo começaram a surgir algumas capelas inclusive uma dedicada a Nossa Senhora da Boa Viagem. Em 1780, Curral del Rey, já tinha bastantes habitantes, no fim do século XIX a cidade ficou conhecida como Belo Horizonte.
Um antigo casarão colonial de 1883 é o único remanescente do arraial do Curral Del-Rey. O museu guarda um valioso acervo referente à histórica Belo Horizonte, composto por esculturas, peças decorativas, documentos e material fotográfico. A maquete do antigo Curral Del-Rey fica neste museu.
